Wrong-Way Central PA Fiery Fatal Crash Victims ID'd By Authorities

A second person has died as the result of a fiery crash on Saturday. Both victims' identities have been released by authorities.

The crash occurred on Route 22 East in Middle Paxton Township around 10:30 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported.

Michael Hoy, 64, of Daytona Beach, Florida, died the night of the crash at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital according to the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office.

Randy L. Deibelbi, 65, of Fleetwood, Berks County, died at an area hospital on Tuesday, according to Pennsylvania State Trooper Megan Ammerman.

The passenger in Deibelbi’s vehicle remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Hoy was driving a Ford F-150 XLT west in the eastbound lanes when an F-150, operated by Deibelbi, crashed into him head-on, as Trooper Ammerman reported to PennLive.

Both vehicles burst into flames and were quickly engulfed, as previously reported.

Bystanders saved Hoy, Deibelbi and the unidentified passenger.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
